Jury considers verdict in Dublin murder case

A jury in the Central Criminal Court has this afternoon been sent away to consider its verdict in the case of a Dublin civil servant accused of murdering her husband.

A jury in the Central Criminal Court has this afternoon been sent away to consider its verdict in the case of a Dublin civil servant accused of murdering her husband.

Ms Dolores O’Neill (aged 50) of Coolamber Park, Knocklyon in Dublin denies the murder of 46-year-old Mr Declan O’Neill on or about July 22, 2002 at the family home.

Mr Justice Paul Carney instructed the jury of six men and six women to come back with a unanimous verdict of either "guilty" of murder or "not guilty of murder, but guilty of manslaughter".
