Leading astronomer to give public lecture on supernovae in Dublin

Former president of the British Astronomical Association and editor of The Astronomer magazine Guy Hurst will speak at a public lecture at Dublin City University tonight.

Former president of the British Astronomical Association and editor of The Astronomer magazine Guy Hurst will speak at a public lecture at Dublin City University tonight.

The public lecture is the first in a series of lectures for Irish astronomy enthusiasts.

Mr Hurst’s talk this evening will investigate the phenomenon of exploding stars, otherwise known as supernovae.
