The Forum of People with Disabilities is disputing the Government's claim that the recent Disability Bill is rights-based.

The Forum of People with Disabilities is disputing the Government's claim that the recent Disability Bill is rights-based.

The forum is giving its response to the legislation which was published three weeks ago.

It is now calling on the Government to change the definition of disability in the Bill because it excludes a large group of people.

Spokesperson for the forum, Mary Keogh, said the definition is far too narrow and needs to be changed and clarified.
