Government accused of losing war on drugs

The Labour Party spokesperson on Justice Joe Costello has said Minister Michael McDowell is being defeated at every turn in the war on drugs.

He said despite the launch of the Criminal Assets Bureau and the Proceeds of Crime Bill following the death of Veronica Guerin in 1996, drug gangs are more active now than ever before.
