The trial of three gardaí accused of beating a Reclaim the Streets protestor on the head with their batons has continued in legal argument in the absence of the jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Garda Ronan Judge and Gda Thomas Victory of Store St garda station, and Gda Paul Daly from Pearse St garda station have all denied assaulting Mr Rory McMonagle (aged 23), of Neville Road, Rathgar, on May 6, 2002.
