FG MEP opposes full EU membership for Turkey

Fine Gael MEP Simon Coveney has called on the EU to develop a neighbourly relationship with Turkey rather than accepting the country as a full member state.

European politicians are currently divided over whether to start accession negotiations with Turkey.
