Kilkenny cathedral closed for three weeks
The Church of Ireland cathedral in Kilkenny has been forced to close to visitors until October 25 to facilitate refurbishment work on its 150-year-old heating system.
Church authorities said services normally conducted at the cathedral would take place at St John's Church on John Street until that date.
The cathedral's Round Tower is unaffected and will remain open during the period.
