Gardaí investigate death of Dublin mother

Gardaí are investigating the suspicious death of a mother of two in north County Dublin, it was confirmed tonight.

The body of the 31-year-old woman was discovered by a close relative at her home in Baldarragh near the village of The Naul.

The alarm was believed to have been raised after she failed to collect her young children from school in the afternoon.

Gardaí in Balbriggan are examining the circumstances of her death. It is believed she may have suffered head injuries.

State pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy will examine the scene tonight where the woman’s body was discovered.
