Two held after Dublin attacks
Two men launched a spate of violent assaults in Dublin today, leaving four men in hospital, one in a critical condition.
The first was attacked near Temple Bar Square shortly before 3am. When another man went to his assistance he too was attacked.
The culprits then walked around the corner towards Crown Alley where they assaulted two other men.
The two more seriously injured victims were taken to St James’s Hospital where one is in intensive care and the other is said to be stable.
Two others were taken to the Mater Hospital where their condition is said to be stable.
Two men, both in their 20s, have been arrested and are being held at Pearse St garda station.
