A garda was left badly injured and off work for five months after he was dragged into a house, held at knife-point and attacked by youths, a court has heard.

Judge Thomas Fitzpatrick was told at the Dublin Children’s Court that the garda was off work for five months, had cuts under his eye and on his head, and still has a sore back, following the alleged incident in Ballymun, on October 25, last year.
