A group representing people with disabilities says developers are ignoring planning laws that require private and public buildings to be accessible to everyone.

The People with Disabilities in Ireland group, which is holding its AGM in Tullamore today, is calling for proper enforcement of the regulations on disability access introduced in 2000.

Chief Executive Michael Ringrose says people with disabilities still have major difficulties with basic access needs in this country.
