Around 1,200 construction workers in Dublin were due to return to their jobs this morning after they took unofficial industrial action yesterday.

Employees on Pearse sites throughout the city downed tools as part of a dispute over holiday pay, overtime and what they said was the overuse of agency workers and sub-contractors to the detriment of the regular workforce.
