Aware highlights link between drinking and suicide

The support group Aware has claimed that alcohol and binge-drinking in particular are major contributory factors to suicide in Ireland.

At a press conference to launch Depression Awareness Week, the group said international studies had uncovered links between suicidal behaviour and high levels of alcohol consumption.
