The Irish Road Haulage Association has warned that a dispute at Dublin Port could escalate in response to a shipping firm’s threat to bring in British-based operators to carry out work.

The company made the threat because Irish operators have withdrawn their services as part of a disagreement over rate increases and fuel surcharges.
