Two still in custody over shooting of Wicklow publican
Gardaí in Co Wicklow are continuing to hold two people arrested yesterday in connection with the shooting of a publican during a robbery in the village of Carnew.
Forty-four-year-old Michael Kenny was shot in the leg when three people broke into his pub early yesterday morning.
The raiders demanded money, but fled the scene empty-handed.
A man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s were later arrested by detectives investigating the incident.
Mr Kenny is recovering from his injuries at St James’s Hospital in Dublin, where his condition is described as comfortable.
