A man who attempted to rob a petrol station in Co Meath has been hospitalised after he was struck by a car while fleeing the scene.

A man who attempted to rob a petrol station in Co Meath has been hospitalised after he was struck by a car while fleeing the scene.

The man held up the Roscross petrol station at Tara, just outside Navan, with a sawn-off shotgun shortly before 10pm last night.
