Brinks denies plan to close down Irish operations
The Brinks Allied security firm has denied suggestions that it is using the current dispute with its workers in Dublin as an excuse to exit the Irish market.
SIPTU, which represents the striking workers, has accused Brinks of deliberately provoking the dispute in order to justify closing down its Irish operations.
The union said the company was making no effort to resolve the dispute and was rejecting all proposals aimed at finding a resolution.
However, a spokesman for the firm said today that this was “completely untrue”.
