Gardaí launch murder inquiry in Kildare
Gardaí today launched a murder inquiry into the death of a young woman, whose body was found in Co Kildare.
The discovery was made by a local farmer at 2.15pm yesterday in a disused shed in Eadestown, between Naas and Blessington.
The woman’s body was taken to Navan General Hospital, where a post-mortem is being carried out.
The murder inquiry is being headed by Chief Superintendent Sean Feeley. He appealed for a man who made a telephone call to gardaí in Dublin about the case earlier in the week to come forward.
Officers at Naas Garda station are checking a list of missing people in an attempt to establish the victim’s identity.
