Sailors rescued as boat runs aground

Two sailors have been rescued off the Wexford Coast after their yacht ran aground on a sandbank.

Several local lifeboats and the coastguard helicopter were called to the scene off Duncannon beach shortly after 12.30pm this afternoon.

The 26-foot yacht "Mabona" will be refloated when the tide rises later this evening.
