Gardaí name Ballyfermot accident victim

Gardaí have named the pedestrian killed yesterday in Ballyfermot in a road accident.

She was Violet Harris, aged 52, from Donnybrook.

Meanwhile a man is being treated in hospital in Drogheda for his injuries following a car crash in Monaghan which killed a man in his 20s.

Gardaí say the single-vehicle-accident happened at 6am near Castleblaney.
