Nominations open for Children of Ireland awards

Nominations are open for the Children of Ireland awards, which recognise brave and talented children who make a contribution to Irish society.

The awards have been running for 21 years and previous winners include a Special Olympics competitor and a five-year-old who saved her sister's life.

An Taoiseach and a number of soap and pop stars will present the awards.
