Brinks dispute: Company rejects Labour Court proposals

Hundreds of ATM machines in Dublin and along the east coast are now likely to be empty for the forseeable future as the Brinks Allied escalates further during the next 48 hours.

It follows the company's rejection of recommendations by the Labour Court on new work practices.

SIPTU had said its members were ready to resume work after the union voted overwhelmingly in favour of accepting the recommendations.

However the workers will now begin an official strike from Monday morning.
