Boy dies following multiple car crash
A 14-year-old boy died last night following a three-car pile up in Co Down.
A number of other people were injured, one critically, in the crash on the dual carriageway between Bangor and Newtownards close to the village of Conlig.
The crash involved a 4x4 towing a boat, a people carrier and a Vauxhall Astra.
A fleet of ambulances took the injured to the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald.
Although most of those involved in the collision were said to be stable, one man was fighting for his life.
Meanwhile, another nine people were treated for minor injuries following a road crash involving five vehicles in Co Antrim.
The collision happened on the Frosses Road near Ballymoney.
Officers investigating the accident were hunting for the drivers of two vehicles that left the scene.
