Civil servants' union accepts 2nd phase of Sustaining Progress

The Public Service Executive Union - which represents civil servants, An Post workers, and other state agencies - has agreed to accept the terms of the second phase of Sustaining Progress.

A ballot of its 10,000 members voted in favour of the proposals by a majority of nine to one.

The modules include a pay increase of 13.2% to workers as specified in the benchmarking process.
