A pensioner has died following a road accident in Co Meath.

A pensioner has died following a road accident in Co Meath. The 81-year-old local woman was killed when her car struck a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction on the N3 at Ross, Tara.

The male driver of the second car has been taken to Beaumont Hospital. The accident happened at 12.30pm.
