Sinn Féin has insisted that the issue of collusion between the British security forces and loyalist paramilitaries must be addressed at next month’s make-or-break talks on the peace process.

The party’s vice president, Pat Doherty, said the British government was failing to address the matter because to do so would expose “the extent of its dirty war in Ireland”.
