Democratic Unionist Party deputy leader Peter Robinson has played down the importance of comments made by Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams on advancing the peace process.

Observers of the peace process had been expecting a positive response to Mr Adams’ statement that the IRA would need to decommission and disband to stop unionists from blocking progress in the North.
