Minister announces troublesome tenant crackdown

Junior Minister Noel Ahern has announced new laws to crack down on troublesome tenants will come into force later this year.

At present, local authorities can evict troublesome tenants from rented council flats and houses, but Mr Ahern said the Residential Tenancies Act would extend these provisions to cover people residing with tenant purchasers.
