More ATMs run short as Brinks row continues
Bank branches in Dublin and along the east coast could begin running out of cash by the weekend unless the dispute at the Brinks Allied security firm is resolved.
Reports this morning said 160 non-branch ATMs had already been affected by the dispute over the introduction of new security vans and procedures.
A further 80 ATMs at bank branches on the east coast are expected to close over the next 24 hours.
The Labour Court is expected to convene a hearing tomorrow in an effort to resolve the dispute after the Brinks workers rejected proposals negotiated at the Labour Relations Commission this week.
