McDowell planning surprise inspections of garda stations

Justice Minister Michael McDowell is reportedly planning a series of unannounced garda station inspections to examine whether professional standards are being met.

Reports this morning said a team of inspectors would be established to conduct the “lightning raids” and to examine investigation files and records.
