High Court report on NIB to be published today

The High Court inspectors’ report into the affairs of National Irish Bank is due to be published today.

The report was presented to the Central Bank and the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority last week.

The document is the culmination of a six-year investigation into alleged illegal practices at NIB.

These practices allegedly included over-charging, stealing money from customers’ accounts and operating an offshore investment scheme used by some of its clients to evade tax.
