Local man's body found on street in Sligo town

Gardaí in Sligo are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found in the town this morning.

The man was in his 40s and from the locality.

His body was found just off Stephen’s Street by a member of the public shortly before 8.30am.

The scene of the discovery has been sealed off for technical examination and a post mortem is due to be carried out later today to determine the cause of death.
