Ahern calls for recognition of Gaeilge

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern today used his final speech to the European Parliament in Strasbourg to push his bid for Irish to become an official EU language.

To press home the point, the Taoiseach opened his address on the achievements of the Irish EU Presidency in Irish.
