Up to 1,250 schools to lose special needs resources

Around 1,250 primary schools will reportedly suffer cutbacks in their special needs resources under Education Minister Noel Dempsey’s planned new alocation system.

The minister announced the new “weighted” system earlier this year and said he would also be hiring 350 extra special needs teachers.
