Greens launch Good Friday Agreement paper
Green activists across Britain and Ireland were today urged to mount a campaign to have the law which forbids Catholics from becoming King or Queen of England to be scrapped.
At the launch of their paper on the future of the Good Friday Agreement, Green leader Trevor Sargent and his Northern Ireland counterpart John Barry revealed they would be inviting sister parties in England, Scotland and Wales to press for the repeal of the 1701 Act of Settlement.
