Raiders escape with €40,000 in Dublin robbery

Two armed and masked men have made away with around €40,000 after an armed robbery of a security van in Dublin.

The men, one armed with a hatchet and the other with a handgun, held up a van in the Blanchardstown Retail Park.

They made away in a stolen silver BMW which was later found abandoned in Huntstown. Gardaí at Blanchardstown are investigating the incident.
