Employment in pub sector up 28% since 1999

Employment in pubs and other licensed premises has increased by 28% over the past five years, according to a study commissioned by the drinks industry.

The study, carried out by Dublin City University and the Economic and Social Research Institute, found that more than 100,000 people are now working in the sector.
