The leader of the Seanad today described the legislation to break up Aer Rianta as rushed and premature.

Senator Mary O’Rourke criticised Transport Minister Seamus Brennan’s attempt to put the State Airport Bill through the Dáil and the Seanad before the summer recess.

<p> Volunteers attending the DMax 7.7 fitness event, in honour of Darragh McCarthy, who tragically passed away last year at just 21 years of age. The sold-out fitness event saw over 300 competitors take on DMax 7.7 featuring seven fitness stations, lasting seven minutes per station with a two minute transition between station. Competitors entered in teams of two and tested their strength, endurance and mental resilience across a series of challenges including rope skipping, ski-erg, medicine ball, assault bike, rowing, burpee box jumps and wall balls.
