Minister publishes guidelines on use of Irish

The Minister for Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Eamon Ó Cuiv, is to publish a set of draft guidelines for public bodies to improve the quality of their Irish language services.

The Minister for Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Eamon Ó Cuiv, is to publish a set of draft guidelines for public bodies to improve the quality of their Irish language services.

The move is in accordance with the Official Languages Act, in an attempt to allow Irish speakers access as many services as possible in their language of choice.

The Minister has called on interested parties to submit comments on the guidelines, published today.
