Junior Minister Tom Kitt has announced his intention to travel to the Darfur region of western Sudan next week to assess the humanitarian situation in the area.

Junior Minister Tom Kitt has announced his intention to travel to the Darfur region of western Sudan next week to assess the humanitarian situation in the area.

Mr Kitt will also meet representatives of Irish aid agencies during his trip.
