The National Disability Authority today welcomed the Irish College of Psychiatrists' proposals on plans for a service model to develop of psychiatric services for people with intellectual disability.

Commenting on the report, the Chairwoman of the NDA, Angela Kerins, stated: “The National Disability Authority commissioned a seminal report in 2003 in this area which highlighted inequities in access to services, significant under-provision of services leading to crisis responses.
