Exciting time for Defence Forces, says Minister

The Defence Forces new officers have taken up duty at an exciting time as its equipment programme expands to meet modern day challenges, the Defence Minister said today.

Michael Smith told the 46 young men and women of the 79th Cadet class that their tough 21 month training would stand to them in their course of duty.
