Four people have been killed in accidents on Ireland's roads in the past 24 hours.

The latest accident occurred on the Enniscorthy to Bunclody road in county Wexford at 5.45 this evening, when a 44 year-old female passenger was killed in a two vehicle accident.

Earlier this afternoon, a 65 year-old woman died in a collision involving two vehicles in Killeshin in county Laois.

Five other people were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny.

Meanwhile, two people died in a collision with a jeep at Ardchicken in Donegal Town at half past ten last night.
