Motorist dies in crash in Carlow

A man in his early 20s has died after the car he was travelling in collided with a tree in Carlow this morning.

The accident happened on the Kilkenny road at around 7am. A second man was seriously injured in the crash.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed last night in a road accident in Co Galway.

The accident happened at Lissoughter in Recess at around 7pm.

Gardaí are withholding the names of both dead men until all next of kin have been informed.
