Farmers oppose inclusion of assets in means tests for college grants

The Irish Farmers Association has reportedly expressed its opposition to any plans to take their assets into account in means tests for higher education grants.

Reports this morning said Education Minister Noel Dempsey was considering the move in an effort to make the assessment system more equitable.
