Degrees to replace diplomas in shake up of third-level awards

The Government is reportedly planning to replace higher education diplomas with ordinary level degrees as part of a reform of the third-level awards system.

Reports this morning said the change would come into force in September and was designed to create a uniform system for naming and valuing awards.
