Gardaí introduce new motoring fines system

Gardaí have introduced a new system for processing motoring fines on a trial basis in Co Louth, Co Meath and Dublin.

Under the system, a motorist stopped for speeding or failing to wear a seat-belt will no longer receive a notice at the time of the offence.
