The Congregation of Christian Brothers has decided not to proceed with a Supreme Court appeal, which was scheduled for today.

It follows an earlier statement from the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse that individuals accused of abuse will not be named, unless they are convicted by the courts.

The Congregation is also pleased it is to be consulted on the method to be adopted by the investigating committee when conducting its inquiries into child abuse.
