Gardaí have identified a Lithuanian man who was found lying dead in a field near Dunboyne in Co Meath.

Grazuydas Strelciunas had come to work in Ireland just weeks before his body was found by a passer-by on June 20 last.

Detectives in Ashbourne are questioning a female, while gardaí in Blanchardstown have one man and a woman in custody in connection with the investigation into the 36-year-old’s death.

The body was identified today by a family member.

He suffered facial and arm injuries but the post mortem exam results were not released and it has not been confirmed if he had been murdered.

It is understood the man had been living at a house at Blanchardstown and had been working in the city.

Gardaí said it was believed he had only been in Ireland a short time.
