Garda watchdog calls for increased powers

A Garda watchdog group has proposed new legislation to give it more power to conduct investigations into complaints made against the Force.

In it's annual report, the Garda Complaints Board has said it is unacceptable that they have no control over investigations into allegations of misconduct.
